Through the use of the arts, the institute has led the field of Mental Health in creating innovative approaches for the care and treatment of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The organization provides Art, Music, Speech and Language Therapies, Nutritional, Fitness and Social Services as well as an on-site Medical Unit made up of a MD, RN and 2 LPN’s.

Ceramics Program Assistant
Immediate entry-level position. Must have at least one year experience in the Intellectual Disabilities field as well as practical knowledge and experience in the field of Technical Ceramics Instruction. Must have outstanding interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and oral communications skills. Basic Sign Language preferred. Candidates should be enthusiastic self-starters and detail oriented.
IPP Coordinator
Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to train on complex topics and develop goals for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Program Assistant
Immediate entry-level position available. Must have at least one year experience in the MR/DD field and be proficient in Basic Sign Language. Must have outstanding interpersonal skills as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidates should be enthusiastic, self-starters and detailed oriented. At least a BA/BS in Social Sciences or related field required.
Program Aide
Immediate entry-level opening. Duties include the implementation of Activities of Daily Living (ADL) schedule for assigned Individuals as well as monitoring and assisting Individuals with changing and feeding. One year experience in the MR/DD field preferred. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Receptionist
This highly demanding courtesy desk position requires duties ranging from answering of phones and greeting visitors to announcing Individuals’ arrivals and departures. Accurate documentation of Individuals arrivals and departures is critical, so attention to detail in a high-pressure environment is essential as well as the ability to deliver phone messages in a timely fashion. Organizational skills are essential.
RN
Immediate opening. Minimum two years experience working with the Intellectually Disabled population. Current DC license required. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office and Therap a plus. No evenings, nights, or weekends.
Speech Pathologist
